One Man, Two Guvnors
The set designs for this show were completely designed by students and finished at a very low cost. Overall production budget for this show came in at $1000. The students in each set design class were in charge of designing at least one scene, with the students of one class being in charge of designing both the pier scene and the Cricketer’s Dining hall. it was a fifty fifty combination of flown vs. rolling set pieces with all but the window unit in the mansion flown out. While already working on a tight budget, this production also faced a challenge in the lighting. During the production process the school’s 3rd electric went out due to a ladybug infestation! However, The Show Must Go On! And this department and it’s students were creative and found ways to stretch their budget and produce a successful show while having fun along the way!
